Following further investigation and testing, KFL&A Public Health has determined that the general school population at Bath Public School is not at risk because of a COVID-19 exposure identified on March 27, 2021.

Everyone in the affected cohorts, which includes the Grade 7/8 class and riders of Bus 154, and their household members, must continue to isolate and follow the direction of KFL&A Public Health.

If your student is not in the Grade 7/8 class, is not on Bus 154, and is not a sibling of someone in those cohorts, your student no longer needs to self-isolate. Your student may return to school on Tuesday, March 30, 2021.

All students and staff at Bath PS were originally asked to self-isolate given a contact of a positive case of COVID-19 had been identified in the school.

Because COVID-19 Variants of Concern (VOC) are now in our community and can spread more easily, Public Health is taking additional precautions to help reduce spread.

KFL&A Public Health and the school board are taking all necessary steps to prevent spread of the virus both in the school and the community. Everyone should continue to monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 and screen students daily as most cases of COVID-19 are acquired in the home setting.

Thank you for your understanding and adherence to all public health directives to help ensure student and staff safety.
