Dear Families,
Wow, what a fantastic week! Fueled by turkey and rest, our students returned energized and ready to learn. It’s been incredible to witness the progress they’ve already made this year—there’s truly some amazing learning happening in our classrooms. We are so fortunate to have such dedicated and talented educators here at Bath.
Boo Bash Alert:
Mark your calendars for our Boo Bash fundraiser on Thursday, October 24 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. This exciting family event will feature Halloween-themed games, a costume parade, a family dance, fun contests, and a cake raffle. We’re still looking for donations of cakes or cupcakes for the raffle. If you’re able to contribute, please email Ms. Paquin. We can’t wait to see you there!
This Week at Bath:
Our junior classes enjoyed a wonderful presentation by Emil Sher, sparking curiosity and creativity. Our student runners proudly represented Bath at the District Cross Country Meet, and it was inspiring to see their growth and determination throughout the season. Several of our runners earned a spot to compete again at the District Meet on October 22.
We ended the week with a beautiful Friday and our annual World Cup of Soccer event for junior and intermediate students. Every team played with integrity, determination, and spirit. Congratulations to Team England, this year’s champions. A huge shout-out to all our Knights for their outstanding effort and for consistently showing Bath PRIDE. Special thanks to our Grade 8 student leaders who coached and refereed the games, and to Mr. Kyte for organizing this beloved Bath tradition.
Coming Up:
We’re thrilled to welcome Ms. Pengelly back to Bath very soon. A heartfelt thank you and best wishes to Mme. Lalonde, who will be moving on to Odessa. Her last day at Bath will be October 22. We’ll miss her dearly and are grateful for the smooth transition. We know our paths will cross again.
Our scheduled fire drill will take place on the morning of October 24. We’re also planning our first Bath PRIDE Assembly for the last block on Friday. Throughout the year, we’ll be celebrating each of our PRIDE traits: perseverance, respect, integrity, determination, and empathy. The theme for this first assembly is perseverance.
The next weeks promise to be just as exciting, with many more learning opportunities on the horizon. Be sure to check School-Day regularly for updates and event notifications.

Human Development and Sexual Health
As part of LDSB's commitment to ongoing transparency and communication with families, please follow the link to Form 325-D on the LDSB website. It outlines the Human Development and Sexual Health curriculum expectations for Grades 1-8. Families can request to have their child or children exempted from instruction related to Human Development and Sexual Health expectations by completing and returning an exemption form for each child (Form 325-B) five school days before the start of instruction. Prior to instruction, your child's classroom teacher will inform parents/guardians when the expectations related to the Human Development and Sexual Health expectations in Strand D will be covered. For a more detailed overview of this process, please refer to Administrative Procedure 325: Exemption From Human Development and Sexual Health Instruction (listed under the Policies and Procedures section of the LDSB website), or contact the school.
Each Sunday, Bath P.S. will send home a link to this weekly newsletter (Knights News) including information about the week ahead along with other information about upcoming events, our School Council, volunteer opportunities and more. However, LDSB also has a range of other communication tools to help you stay informed.

Thank you for placing your Fresh from the Farm orders. The delivery date is expected to be sometime in early November. We will let you know as soon as this is confirmed.
Student Accident Insurance
The Limestone District School Board requires that students have student accident insurance in order to participate in extra-curricular activities. Before students will be allowed to participate in these events, parents/guardians must confirm their own coverage for items not covered under the Provincial Health Plan, or purchase an insurance plan.
Each year a Student Accident Insurance Plan is made available to all students on a voluntary basis. The plan provides protection for dental damage due to accidents, fracture benefits and other important coverage, which are not covered under the Provincial Health Plan. Some parents may have dental plan coverage through their workplace but many of these plans are limited in one way or another, while this accident coverage is not. You should compare plans to make sure you have the coverage you need or desire.
In making this plan available, the Board wishes to make its position clear in the matter of insurance. Under the Education Act, the Board is not permitted to provide insurance coverage for accidents to pupils, therefore, the Board recommends consideration of this plan to any parent who wishes to obtain this kind of insurance. Although the policy has all the advantages of a group plan, it is essentially a direct contract between the parent and the insurance company.
A family plan is also available for three or more students which permits the enrolment of students in the family who are attending schools outside the jurisdiction of this Board as long as at least one child in the family is attending a school within the Limestone District School Board.
If you wish to subscribe to this insurance, you may do so by completing the form handed out to students the first week of school and mailing it directly to Reliable Life Insurance Company in the stamped envelope provided. Or, for your convenience, you may purchase directly online at www.insuremykids.com.
Bath School Advisory Council
Our fabulous parent council is looking for new members! If you would like to be a part of this great team, please come to our next meeting date is January 14th at 6:30. We are looking forward to meeting in the library. Please let us know if you can make it and if you will require childcare. We are pleased to be able to provide it during the meeting for those who require it.
School Trips and Volunteers
Throughout the year, we may ask for parent/guardian volunteers on school trips or for various classroom and school activities. The wait time for obtaining a CPIC (background check with vulnerable sector screening) can be lengthy. As such, if you think you would be willing to assist with a trip or school event in the future, please consider obtaining a CPIC with vulnerable sector screening completed, beforehand.

Indigenous Student Leadership Team
Liv Rondeau and Rae McDonald will be coming to work with the Indigenous Student Leadership Team (Gr. 3-8) on the following dates from 9:30 - 11:30:
September 26th, October 30th, November 28th, December 19th, January 27, February 27th, March 27th, April 24th, May 28th, June 19th
They will be working on a mural to showcase the importance of reconciliation and indigenous ways of knowing, as well year-long land-based programing. If we have missed anyone who self-identifies as Indigenous and would like to be a part of this group, please let us know.
Triboard Busing Information
2025-2026 Busing Details Available in the Portal
Bus routes were finalized on August 20, 2025 and student details are available in the Student Portal.
The deadline for applications to be processed for the first day of school was August 10, 2025. Applications received after this date are currently being processed with a start date of mid-September so that bus drivers, school staff, and families can get to know their routes. Families will need to make alternative travel arrangements for students to get to school until the “start date” indicated in the Student Portal. Requests to switch buses or stop locations will not be reviewed until late September or early October.
